What GoPaw Canada is
GoPaw Canada is a pet-care marketplace built for Canada. Pet owners book eight services from independent, self-employed providers: dog walking at two lengths, hourly pet care, licensed kennel stays, grooming, nail trims, training and veterinary transport.

Canadian data residency is not itself required by PIPEDA or by PIPA — both permit transfer abroad with notice. It was chosen anyway. The platform holds social insurance numbers because Part XX requires it, and that data belongs under Canadian jurisdiction.
The one commitment the company is built around
A provider cannot accept a booking until a criminal record check and an identity verification are complete, and a commercial general liability policy with animal bailee cover is on file in that provider’s own name. What that does and does not mean is set out in full.
Where the company is today
The product is finished and deployed: a customer app, a provider app, a booking and payment server, an administrative review console and this website. The company has taken no bookings and has no revenue. Bookings and provider sign-up are both closed until launch. Nothing on this site is an offer of service.
We would rather say that plainly than describe a service that is not running yet.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, arrange or recommend insurance, and we take no referral fee or commission from any insurer.
- We do not employ providers. They are independent businesses that set their own prices, choose their own bookings and may work anywhere else they like.
- We do not seed ratings or invent providers. Ratings come from completed jobs only.
